Founded in 2005, TransNusa Airlines (PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri) has transformed from a domestic charter operator into a dynamic regional premium-service carrier. After halting operations during the pandemic, the airline made a triumphant return in 2022 under new leadership, and quickly earned its place as one of Indonesia’s fastest-growing international carriers.
Today, TransNusa is the world’s first airline to operate the COMAC ARJ21 with just 95 seats in a custom-configured cabin, as well as a tailored Airbus A320 featuring 174 seats for enhanced comfort.
In a major expansion, TransNusa launched its first-ever Australian route—connecting Bali (Denpasar) and Perth—with the inaugural flight taking off on 20 March 2025. This service, operated on an Airbus A320, initially ran three times per week (Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays), scaling to daily flights in March 2025 and then double daily in July 2025 to meet strong demand.
Since its relaunch, TransNusa has served over one million passengers and continues to redefine regional travel with its premium positioning, innovative services, and expanding international footprint.
